      Message from Parish Priest,
      Msgr James Gnanapiragasam

A website gives us the opportunity to say what is happening, what has happened and what will happen in the near future. Though not really commercializing an event, we have the great task of communicating the gospel as enjoined to us by Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We want to communicate Christ as He works through our parish.

As such St. John's Cathedral, the seat of the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur, takes this opportunity to welcome all parishioners, worshippers and incidental visitors to this website. Our hope is that you will be enriched in some way as you spend time with us. Positive suggestions are always welcome through the "Contact us" drop down menu.

We sincerely hope that this website will see greater participation and interaction among the parishioners. May the Lord guide us in our efforts to reach each one of our people in this technological age.

      God Bless You.
      Msgr. James Gnana VG.

Besides this, we also have the box for petitions and thanksgiving letter box at the icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help on the Divine Mercy wing. We have another avenue where we can request prayers. At the recent Parish Pastoral Assembly, Msgr. James called on BECs to bring the ecclesial back into communities as opposed to the social. This paradigm shift is aimed at building Word centered communities that actively participates in Christ's prophetic mission – listening to the Word of God, proclaiming it and giving witness to it.
